Botox in Korea costs less than most visitors expect, and the list is public. At Muse Clinic Myeongdong jaw (masseter) Botox is from ₩19,000, anti-wrinkle Botox from ₩29,000 per area, skin Botox from ₩69,000 and hyperhidrosis Botox from ₩79,000, all excluding 10% VAT and all the same line a Korean patient pays. Korean Botox is not a brand. It is what people call a botulinum toxin made by a Korean manufacturer, and it is the standard product in almost every Seoul clinic.
This guide is the price page I wish visitors read before they message me. It covers the full list, what VAT and event prices mean, why you pay the local price here, what actually moves the number (units, areas, product), and how a visit runs on a short trip.

These numbers come from the same data that powers the treatments page, so they update when the list does. Jaw Botox is sold per 50 units. Anti-wrinkle Botox is sold per area or as a five-area set. Skin Botox (Dermotoxin) is a full-face session. Hyperhidrosis Botox is sold per 50 or 100 units. Prices exclude 10% VAT.

Three treatment pages carry the full option lists: jaw Botox, anti-wrinkle Botox and Dermotoxin skin Botox. Sweating is on the hyperhidrosis Botox page, and shoulders and calves are under Body Botox, from ₩45,000 excl. VAT.
What is Korean Botox? Domestic toxin, Coretox and Allergan compared
Strictly, Botox is Allergan's brand name. In Korea the word is used for any botulinum toxin injection, the way people say Kleenex for a tissue. A domestic toxin is one made by a Korean manufacturer and licensed for use here. The active molecule is the same type A botulinum toxin, and it relaxes a muscle the same way: it blocks the signal from the nerve so the muscle cannot contract fully.
| Product | What it is | When I would choose it |
|---|---|---|
| Domestic Korean toxin | Standard Korean-made botulinum toxin, genuine and measured in front of you | First visit, a one-off before an event, or a budget that needs to stretch |
| Coretox | Premium Korean toxin chosen for a low risk of resistance | Repeat injections several times a year for years, or a history of the effect fading early |
| Allergan | The original brand, on our Dermotoxin (skin Botox) line | Visitors who want the product they already use at home for skin Botox |
What is included, what is not: VAT, event prices and the fine print
Every number on our list is before 10% VAT, which is added at payment. Most lines are event prices: they run for a limited period, they may change, and the treatment page shows the base price beside them so you can see the gap. The consultation with the interpreter and the head doctor is part of the visit, and the vial is opened and measured in front of you.
- A 1+1 line means two areas for that price, chosen from the areas listed on the option.
- A 5-areas line is one price for five areas from the option's list; you pick which five.
- 50U and 100U are unit counts; jaw and sweat Botox are priced by units, wrinkle Botox by area.
- A first-visit trial line is a one-time price for a new patient, not a recurring rate.
- Packages such as V-Line bundle jaw Botox with a contour injection and a tightening injection at one price.

Why foreigners pay the same Botox price in Korea, at least here
There is one list at Muse Clinic Myeongdong, and it is published in full: every treatment, every option, every number. A visitor from Singapore and a patient from the next street see the same ₩24,000 line for 50 units of domestic jaw Botox. There is no foreigner menu. English, Japanese and Chinese interpreters are in the clinic, and someone stays with you from consultation through treatment.
Where visitors do pay more is upstream: an agency, a hotel concierge or a booking app that adds its own margin on top of the clinic's price. The way around it is simple. Message the clinic directly, ask for the list line for your area and product, and compare that number with what you were quoted. Prices exclude 10% VAT everywhere in Korea, so compare before-VAT with before-VAT.
What changes your final Botox price: units, areas and product
- 01Product: standard domestic toxin is the entry price; Coretox roughly doubles the jaw line; Allergan is the top of the Dermotoxin line.
- 02Areas: wrinkle Botox is priced per area, so three areas cost more than one, and a five-area set is cheaper per area than five singles.
- 03Units: jaw, sweat and body Botox are priced per 50 units; a bulky masseter or a large trapezius may need a plan for more.
- 04Bundles: V-Line packages add a contour injection and a tightening injection at one combined price.
- 05Timing: event lines change; the price you see the week you book is the price you pay, before VAT.
The one thing that does not change the price is your passport. If you are told a foreigner rate anywhere, that is a business decision by that clinic or agent, not a rule of Korean pricing. Our jaw Botox article on masseter Botox in Seoul walks through the units question in more detail if the lower face is your reason for coming.
Botox in Korea on a short trip: how the visit runs
Botox is the treatment visitors book most because there is no recovery to plan around. A structured consultation with an interpreter comes first. Then the head doctor plans and performs the injection one to one. The steps on our list are a 1-on-1 consultation, refrigeration anaesthesia or an ice roller, design, and the injection itself. The whole visit is 10 to 20 minutes for the treatment part.
| When | Wrinkle areas | Jaw (masseter) | Sweat (hyperhidrosis) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Day 0 | Small bumps for an hour; makeup after that | Small bumps at injection points; chewing normal | Tiny bumps under the arm or on the palm; settle the same day |
| Days 3–7 | Lines soften as the muscle relaxes | Chewing hard food feels lighter | Little change yet |
| Week 2–4 | Full effect settled | Clenching bulge is smaller; slimming not yet visible | Sweating begins to drop from around one month |
| Months 2–3+ | Effect holds, then gradually returns | Muscle has shrunk; the lower face looks narrower in photos | Effect usually holds about three months |
Side effects are possible with any injection: a bruise, a bump at an injection point, a heavy feeling in the treated muscle for a few days, and, rarely, an uneven brow or smile that settles as the effect wears off. Tell us if you have had toxin injections elsewhere in the last few months so the plan accounts for it. Dr. Sarang Lim, the head doctor, consults and injects every case.

We are open Monday to Friday 10:00–20:00 and Saturday to Sunday 09:00–15:00, one minute from Myeongdong Station Exit 5 on the 3rd floor of the building with a Twosome Place café at street level. A weekend slot between shopping is realistic, and you walk back into Myeongdong straight after.
Questions people ask
Before you message us
How much is Botox in Korea?
At Muse Clinic Myeongdong, jaw (masseter) Botox is from ₩19,000, anti-wrinkle Botox from ₩29,000 per area, skin Botox (Dermotoxin) from ₩69,000, and hyperhidrosis Botox from ₩79,000 for 50 units. Every price excludes 10% VAT and is the same line a Korean patient pays. Event prices run for a limited period, so the treatment page always shows the current numbers.
What is Korean Botox?
In Korea, Botox is used as an everyday word for any botulinum toxin injection. Korean Botox means a toxin made by a Korean manufacturer and licensed for use here. Our list carries a standard domestic toxin, Coretox, a premium domestic toxin chosen for a low risk of resistance, and Allergan, the original brand, on the Dermotoxin line. The molecule does the same job in each; the dose and placement decide the result.
Do foreigners pay more for Botox in Korea?
Not here. There is no foreigner menu at Muse Clinic Myeongdong. The full price list with every option is published on the website, and the number you see is the number a Korean patient pays before VAT. What visitors sometimes pay elsewhere is a markup hidden inside an agency or a hotel concierge booking, which is why I suggest messaging a clinic directly and asking for the list line.
How much is Botox for 3 areas in Korea?
On our list the domestic anti-wrinkle Botox base price for three parts is ₩70,000, and the event line for five areas is ₩89,000 with standard domestic toxin or ₩189,000 with Coretox, all excluding 10% VAT. Areas are chosen from the forehead, glabella, eyebrows, crow's feet, under eyes, chin dimples, nasal wings and nose bridge. Which three or five give you the most change is decided at the consultation.
How much is shoulder Botox in Korea?
Shoulder and other body areas sit under Body Botox on our list, from ₩45,000 excluding VAT. The body uses more units than the face because the trapezius is a large muscle, and the number of units is what moves the price. Message us with a photo of your shoulder line from the front and I will tell you the unit range and the exact line before you book.
How long does Korean Botox take to work and last?
Wrinkle Botox starts to show in three to seven days and settles by two weeks. Jaw Botox slims the muscle over four to eight weeks. Hyperhidrosis Botox begins working around one month after the injection and, for most people, lasts about three months; wrinkle and jaw results usually hold for several months. Results and how long they last vary from person to person.
Results and maintenance period vary by individual. Every procedure carries the possibility of side effects, which are explained before you agree to treatment. Prices exclude 10% VAT and event prices may change. This article is general information from the clinic and is not a diagnosis; suitability is decided at the consultation.
