Comparing one Korean skin booster injection price against another and unable to tell what each quote actually includes?

Read this before you choose by the number alone.

Hello, I'm Sarang Lim, M.D., Head Doctor.

You'll know what decides the cost, which review claims hold up, how the methods differ and what recovery involves, so you can choose what fits your skin and your budget.

Hello, I'm Dr. Sarang Lim, Head Doctor at Muse Clinic Myeongdong.

Foreign patients here pay the same price list as Korean patients, and all 77 menu prices are published on our site. An English, Japanese or Chinese interpreter stays with you from consultation through treatment, and after that consultation I plan and perform your treatment one-to-one.

I wrote this because a quote for a "skin booster" can describe very different products in very different amounts, and people often learn that only after they've chosen.

The price comes down mainly to which product is used, how much goes in and how many sessions you need, followed by numbing, VAT and any return visit. Compare those items line by line and the figures start to make sense.

If you aren't sure which product you'd even be pricing, send a daylight photo of your cheeks on WhatsApp and ask which options you could get a figure for.

Why do two skin booster quotes look so different?

Skin booster is a loose label. It covers products that work in different ways, and that difference moves the cost more than the word printed on the quote.

Hyaluronic acid products place a water-binding gel in the skin, so dryness and fine surface texture are usually why people choose them. Poly-L-lactic acid products work more slowly. They prompt your skin to build collagen over weeks to months, which is why they're often planned as more than one session.

Carry that distinction into any consultation. A one-session hydrating plan and a multi-session collagen plan can share a label and still be different purchases, both in total cost and in the number of flights they might take.

Genuine product and correct dosage are the first things I hold to, because a figure means little if you can't tell what product and how much of it sits behind it.

Which methods are on my menu, and what moves the cost of each?

In short, these are the items in our skin and anti-aging injection category. The product descriptions are general ones, so ask for the details of any item you're considering.

Menu itemTypeWhat moves its cost
Olidia EyeOlidia line, for the eye areaA separate menu item from the full-face option
Olidia VolumeOlidia line, also listed under fillerAreas that have lost volume
Lilied MListed as a glass skin injectionSessions and any add-ons you choose

If your main complaint is dry, tight-feeling cheeks, I'd usually start the conversation with hyaluronic acid. If your skin is thin and you're willing to wait for gradual change, collagen stimulation enters the conversation. The trade-off is that you won't see the full picture during a short trip.

Forum threads name many other brands. I can only speak to what's on this menu, so a product that isn't in the table isn't something I offer here.

What decides a Korean skin booster injection price?

Here are the questions I'd want you to ask any clinic, ours included. Each one maps to a line that changes your total.

  1. 01Which product, by name? Brand and type come first, since they set the base cost of everything else.
  2. 02How much, and over what area? Ask for the amount in cc or syringes, and whether it covers the cheeks or the full face. The eye area may be priced separately, as Olidia Eye is on our menu.
  3. 03How many sessions, and is this figure per session? One line on a quote can describe a single visit or a full course. Ask for the total you'd pay if you completed the plan.
  4. 04Is numbing included? Ask which kind of anaesthesia is planned and whether it appears as its own line.
  5. 05What sits outside the figure? Our listed prices are before VAT, so add it when you compare. Ask any clinic about VAT, follow-up visits and touch-ups in the same words, so the answers line up.

My own rule on filler is no retouching, and any remaining amount is discarded. You should know a clinic's position on this before you pay for an amount.

Your stay belongs in the sum as well. A plan that needs a second session may also need a second flight and more nights in Seoul, and no clinic quote will show those.

To get the figure for your own case, ask on WhatsApp what it would cost for the area that bothers you, and name the product if you already have one in mind.

Some quotes look high or low because they're aimed at a different goal. Lifting devices address sagging, which our guide to Korean skin tightening options covers. Fat dissolving injections in Korea aim to reduce fullness, the reverse of what thin skin usually needs. A Korean glutathione injection is usually sought for brightness.

If one of those matches your concern, a booster price isn't the number you need.

Say you have five days in Seoul and thin, dry cheeks

Say you're 41, your cheeks feel dry and look crepey under makeup, and a doctor at home told you filler would look heavy on skin this thin. You have five days in Seoul and one budget.

I'd want to know what you hope to see by the time you're home. If it's less dryness soon, hyaluronic acid is a reasonable place to begin, and that gives you one session to price. If you care more about skin thickness over the coming months and you'd come back to Seoul, a collagen stimulator may make more sense. In that case, ask for the total across all sessions and count what another trip means for you.

I'd also ask about old reactions. If you've had a lump from an earlier injection, tell me the product if you can remember it. I wouldn't add a collagen stimulator over a lump nobody has explained.

If your budget covers only part of a plan, I'd choose one area treated at the correct dose over a whole face treated thinly. Spreading a product further to reach a lower total defeats the reason for buying it. Check the amount on a quote before you check the total.

What do reviews get right about skin boosters?

Threads often say skin glows within days. With hyaluronic acid this can be true, although some of that early plumpness is swelling. With a collagen stimulator, an early impression tells you little, since the change builds over weeks to months.

Another common claim is that the injections sting a lot. Boosters usually involve many small injection points, so the sensation is a fair thing to prepare for. How much you feel changes with the area and the numbing used.

You'll also read that the per-cc figure shows who offers the better value. That only works when the product and the total amount match, which they often don't.

Clinics differ, so ask to see the price list. Ours is the same list Korean patients use.

Recovery, and what to do if something changes after you fly home

Small raised points, redness, swelling and sometimes bruising are common where the needle went in. These usually settle over several days, although a bruise can take longer. I'd place treatment early in your trip, so any swelling or bruise shows itself while you're still in Seoul.

Risks and side effects to know

The U.S. FDA's page on dermal fillers lists bruising, redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, itching and rash among common effects. It also warns that accidental injection into a blood vessel, though uncommon, can damage skin and affect vision. Poly-L-lactic acid can cause nodules, and a case report in Annals of Dermatology described a foreign body reaction that appeared late. Results vary from person to person, and so does how long they last.

As general medicine, these are reasons to wait or skip treatment:

  • infection or inflammation at the injection site
  • a recent laser or peel in the same area
  • current isotretinoin use
  • pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • a known allergy to an ingredient, or an unexplained reaction to an earlier injection

After you're home, spreading pain, skin turning pale or dusky, or any change in vision needs urgent care the same day. For a new lump, see a local doctor and bring the product name, amount and treatment date. The CDC's medical tourism advice is to arrange follow-up at home before you leave and to carry copies of your records, so note those details before you fly.

If this section raised a question about your own history, message us on WhatsApp with your current medications and any injection you've had in the past year, and ask which options that leaves open.

How many days should you plan around your sessions?

The clinic is a 1-minute walk from Myeongdong Station Exit 5. We're open Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, so a weekend visit can fit a short trip.

Avoid booking on your last day in Seoul, since swelling and bruising need time to show themselves. If your plan needs sessions spaced weeks apart, one trip can't hold them. Decide whether a single session is worth it to you on its own, or budget for the return from the start.

Have your travel dates already? Put them in a WhatsApp message and ask how many sessions could fit between them.

How do you get a figure for your own skin?

One photo is enough to start, and you can ask before booking anything. Send it on WhatsApp with one question: what would this cost for my skin, including VAT? When you come in, an interpreter stays with you through the consultation and treatment, and I examine your skin and recommend what fits it.

Questions people ask

Before you message us

Is the Korean skin booster injection price the same for foreigners at your clinic?

Yes. Foreign patients at Muse Clinic Myeongdong pay from the same price list as Korean patients, with no foreigner markup. Listed prices are before VAT, so include it when you work out your total. Your own figure still changes with the product, the amount and the number of sessions you choose.

Can I ask for a skin booster brand I saw on a forum?

You can ask, but I can only treat you with what's on our menu. In the skin injection category that means Skin Vive, the Olidia items and Lilied M. If the brand you read about isn't among them, tell us what you hoped it would do for your skin, and ask which listed option addresses that.

Where can I see your listed prices?

All 77 menu items have their prices published on this site, before VAT. The list shows the price of each item. It won't show your own total, because that also includes how many sessions you plan and the area you want treated, so ask for that total on WhatsApp.

Does a skin booster injection hurt?

Most people feel a series of small stings, since boosters usually involve many injection points. Thin skin and the area around the eyes can feel more sensitive. Numbing reduces this but doesn't remove every sensation, so ask which kind of anaesthesia is planned and whether it's a separate line on your quote.

How soon can I fly home after a skin booster?

There's no single rule for every product, and swelling or bruising can still be visible for several days. Leave some days between treatment and your flight, so any reaction appears while you can still return to the clinic. Ask about your flight date at consultation, and pack the product name and amount for your records.

Results and maintenance period vary by individual. Every procedure carries the possibility of side effects, which are explained before you agree to treatment. Prices exclude 10% VAT and event prices may change. This article is general information from the clinic and is not a diagnosis; suitability is decided at the consultation.
