Trying to pin down your Seoul dermal filler cost, and worried the figure you read in a review thread won't be the figure you see once you're in the chair?
Give this five minutes before you book a slot.
Hello, I'm Sarang Lim, M.D., Head Doctor.
By the end you'll know what reviews get right and wrong, which filler methods are priced differently and why, what decides the cost for your own face, and how much recovery to leave before your flight. That's enough to judge whether one area on a short trip or a fuller plan on a longer one fits your face and your budget.
Hello, I'm Dr. Sarang Lim, Head Doctor at Muse Clinic Myeongdong. I'm a member of the Korean Academy of Aesthetic Plastic & Laser Medicine and an advisory doctor for Juvéderm and Galderma Sculptra.
Three facts about us matter for a cost question. Foreign patients pay the same listed prices as Korean locals, with no foreigner markup. Every treatment and option is priced on our website, before VAT. And an interpreter stays with you from the consultation through the treatment, which I plan and perform one-to-one.
I'm writing this because most people compare filler by the price of a single cc, then discover their face needed a different product, or a second area, to get what they pictured.
What you pay comes down to three things: the filler type, the number of cc, and the area. The area matters more than people expect, because the nose, forehead and under-eyes are priced as their own treatments.
One photo is enough to start, and you can ask before booking anything.

What do reviews say about filler prices in Seoul?
Filler threads on Reddit and travel forums repeat a handful of claims. Some hold up medically, and some cost people money.
“A price that seems low means the product is diluted or fake.” That worry makes sense, but price tells you little about the syringe. The U.S. FDA warns against buying dermal fillers sold online, because they may be fake or contaminated. Genuine product and the correct dose are the first thing I hold our clinic to, and the Juvéderm we use is listed as approved by both Korea's MFDS and the FDA.
“Ask them to save the leftover for next time.” We don't. There's no filler retouching at our clinic, and whatever remains in an opened syringe is discarded. An opened syringe is meant for one session. For your budget this means one thing: plan the amount you need for this visit instead of counting on a later touch-up from the same syringe.
Risks and side effects to know
“You'll walk out and nobody will notice.” Sometimes. The FDA lists bruising, redness, swelling, pain, tenderness and itching among the common effects of filler, and lips tend to swell more than the cheeks or chin. A review saying nothing showed is often true for that person and that area, not a promise for yours.
“The price per cc is the whole story.” This is the claim that leads to surprises at the clinic. The reason sits in the product and the area.
Filler methods on our menu, and why they're priced separately
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons groups fillers by what they're made of, and that grouping is the clearest way to see why prices differ.
Hyaluronic acid (HA). Most facial filler is HA, a sugar molecule your skin already contains. On our menu that includes Juvéderm and a pure HA filler option, used for areas such as the lips, mouth corners, chin and cheeks. Anaesthetic cream goes on first, and because many HA fillers carry their own anaesthetic, the injection is less painful. A randomized trial published in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2016 studied this type of lidocaine-containing HA filler in the folds beside the nose. HA has one more property I weigh heavily for a first-timer: it can be dissolved with an enzyme if something isn't right.
Calcium hydroxylapatite (Radiesse) and poly-L-lactic acid (Sculptra). These work differently. They're used to prompt your own collagen, so the change builds over weeks, and they can't be dissolved the way HA can. Each sits on its own line of the price list.
Areas with their own treatments. The nose has a dedicated nose filler treatment, and the under-eyes, forehead and nasolabial folds form another. The temples are their own conversation too; my post on temple filler in Seoul covers what changes there.
A face that has lost volume and a face whose skin has loosened can look alike in a selfie. Filler answers the first. It doesn't answer the second, and adding cc to chase lift is how faces start to look heavy. I would rather put in less and tell you where filler stops helping than build a plan around the syringe count.
If loose skin sounds more like your face, read about radiofrequency skin tightening in Seoul before you budget for filler at all.
What decides the Seoul dermal filler cost for your face?
Each treatment page on our site lets you tick the options you're considering and see an estimate. That estimate is a reference; the final plan and price are set with me at the consultation, once I've seen how much your face needs. These are the factors that move it:
| Factor | Why it moves the cost |
|---|---|
| Filler type | HA, pure filler and collagen stimulators are separate lines on the price list |
| Amount in cc | Options are listed by the cc, so two cc means two units |
| Area | Nose, forehead and under-eyes are separate treatments from general facial filler |
| Number of areas | Each area is planned, and priced, on its own |
Two practical notes. Prices on our site are listed before VAT, so the amount you pay includes VAT as well. And numbing is rarely a separate decision with filler, since anaesthetic cream is one of the listed treatment steps; if you want to be sure it's part of the option you pick, ask.
If you'd like to see how the options are laid out by product and area, our post on Korean filler prices in 2026 walks through the list.
Say you want softer under-eyes and a stronger chin
Say you're 34, in Seoul for four days, and two things bother you in photos: hollows under the eyes that make you look tired, and a chin that sits back a little in profile. That's two areas and, on our menu, two different treatments.
Under the eyes the skin is thin and bruises easily, so I'd plan a small amount there and let the chin carry the more visible change. I'd also put the appointment on your first or second day, not the morning you fly. If the budget only covers one area this trip, choose the one you notice first in an ordinary front photo, rather than the one a friend pointed out.
Before you message, take two photos in daylight without makeup, one from the front and one from the side. Send them on WhatsApp with your Seoul dates, and ask which options your areas fall under and what that would come to. A side photo shows chin and nose projection that a front selfie hides.
How much recovery should you leave before flying home?
The treatment itself is short: about 10 minutes for 1 cc of facial filler, after a one-to-one consultation, anaesthetic cream and design. After lip filler you can eat again 2 to 3 hours later, which matters if you've booked a food tour that evening.
The visible part is swelling and bruising. For many people it settles over several days, and lips are usually the slowest. Results vary from person to person, and so does how long the filler lasts, because the speed at which the body breaks down hyaluronic acid differs between people and between products.
For a traveler, that points to a practical rule: treat early in the trip. Two or three days between the injection and your flight gives the first swelling time to settle while you're still in Seoul. There's no good evidence that a normal flight shifts HA filler, though some people notice swelling more on a long flight. Drink water, don't press or massage the area for the first days, and skip saunas and hard workouts for a day or two.

Who should wait, and what to do if something changes at home
Whether filler suits you is something I judge after examining you in person, but some situations mean waiting regardless:
- an active skin infection, acne flare or cold sore near the area
- pregnancy or breastfeeding
- a known allergy to lidocaine or to a filler ingredient
- a recent laser, peel or other procedure on the same area
- blood-thinning medicines or supplements, which raise the chance of bruising (don't stop a prescribed medicine without asking the doctor who prescribed it)
The rare but serious risk is filler entering a blood vessel. The FDA notes this can damage the skin and, in rare cases, cause vision problems. Warning signs are skin that turns white or dusky, pain far beyond ordinary tenderness, or any change in your sight. Those need urgent medical care straight away, wherever you are.
Lumps, uneven swelling, or tenderness that gets worse after a week are less urgent but worth a doctor's look. Before you leave Seoul, write down the product, the amount and the areas treated. The CDC's medical tourism guidance advises bringing records of treatment abroad home with you, and that note is what a doctor at home will need.
If you've had filler before, at home or here, jot down the product, the area and roughly when, and send that on WhatsApp with your question. Old filler still in place changes how much a new plan needs.
Fitting a filler visit into a Myeongdong day
We're on the 3rd floor of Korea Daeyungak Tower, a one-minute walk from Exit 5 of Myeongdong Station on Line 4, in the building with a Twosome Place café and Hana Bank on the ground floor. Hoehyeon Station Exit 7 is also close, across from Shinsegae Department Store.
Weekday hours run from 10 am to 8 pm, so an appointment after a day of sightseeing works. On Saturdays and Sundays we're open 9 am to 3 pm, which favors a morning slot. English, Japanese and Chinese interpreters are in the clinic, and other languages can be arranged on request. We don't use the phone with foreign patients; WhatsApp is the way to reach us.
Your first WhatsApp message can be one line: the area you're thinking about, and the question “which option is this, and what would it come to?” When you come in, an interpreter stays with you through the consultation, and I'll examine your face and recommend the product and amount that fit.
Questions people ask
Before you message us
Do foreign patients pay a different filler price at Muse Clinic Myeongdong?
No. Foreign patients pay the same listed prices as Korean locals, with no foreigner markup. The full price list, covering every treatment and option, is published on our website before VAT. To find out what your own areas would come to, ask on WhatsApp which options they fall under and what the total would be for your plan.
Does dermal filler hurt?
Most people describe a pinch and pressure more than sharp pain. Anaesthetic cream is applied before the injection, and many hyaluronic acid fillers contain an anaesthetic, which makes the injection less painful. Lips are more sensitive than the chin or cheeks. If you're anxious about pain, say so at the consultation so we can talk through how the treatment will feel.
Can I keep leftover filler for my next trip to Seoul?
Not at our clinic. We don't do filler retouching, and any product left in an opened syringe is discarded rather than stored. An opened syringe is intended for one session. That's why it helps to think about the amount you need for this visit before you book, and to plan any later treatment as a new appointment.
How long does dermal filler last?
Hyaluronic acid filler is temporary: the body gradually breaks it down, and the speed differs between people, products and areas. Areas that move a lot, like the lips, tend to lose filler sooner than the chin. Collagen stimulators work differently and build gradually. I won't put a fixed number of months on it before seeing your face and the product we'd use.
Is it safe to fly the day after filler?
Many people do, and there's no good evidence that a normal flight shifts hyaluronic acid filler. The practical issue is swelling and bruising, which can be more noticeable in the first days. If you can, have filler early in your trip and leave a couple of days before the flight, so early swelling settles while you're still in Seoul.
Results and maintenance period vary by individual. Every procedure carries the possibility of side effects, which are explained before you agree to treatment. Prices exclude 10% VAT and event prices may change. This article is general information from the clinic and is not a diagnosis; suitability is decided at the consultation.
