Temple Filler in Seoul: Price, Lift, Recovery

Temple filler in Seoul from ₩289,000 excl. VAT: how filling hollow temples lifts the eye area, how long it lasts, and what the visit involves. Ask on WhatsApp.

In this article

Temple filler is what I talk about when someone presses the dent between their brow and their hairline and says their face looks tired from the side. The temples lose volume with age and with weight loss, and as that shallow bowl deepens the bone ridge above the eye starts to show. The top of the face reads narrow, the lower face reads wide, and the outer corner of the eye looks drawn.

At Muse Clinic Myeongdong there are two ways to treat it. The hyaluronic acid route is our Juvederm 1cc line, the option that covers all areas except the nose, forehead and under-eye, from ₩289,000 (excl. 10% VAT). The collagen stimulator route is Sculptra, from ₩590,000 (excl. 10% VAT) per vial. Below is who each one suits, what actually changes, and the honest timeline.

Who temple filler suits, and who it does not

The treatment replaces missing volume in one specific place. It works when the problem is a hollow you can feel with your fingertips, and when filling that hollow changes the outline of the upper face. Our filler list describes the typical patient as someone who wants contour added to a flat face, or who wants only the areas short of volume corrected rather than the whole face changed.

  • Temples that have sunk enough to show the bone ridge at the side of the brow
  • A face that looks narrow at the top and heavy at the jaw in photos
  • Volume lost after weight loss or a long stretch of dieting
  • Wanting a small, specific correction instead of a full-face plan
  • Not a match: loose eyelid skin, heavy jowls, or a face where the flatness is across the cheeks rather than the temples

If what bothers you is the lower face rather than the temples, this is the wrong tool. Sagging along the jaw needs a lifting approach, and a lower face that has lost support is usually a cheek discussion. I say that at the consultation rather than filling temples that were never the reason your face changed.

Does filler in the temples lift the eyes?

Partly, and it is worth being precise about what happens. The tissue at the side of the eye rests on the temple. When the temple is hollow, that tissue has less support underneath, so the outer brow and the corner of the eye look pulled downward and the skin there looks slack.

Restoring the temple gives the area something to sit on again, and the outer eye often looks less drawn. That is a change in the frame around the eye, not a brow lift and not a treatment for loose eyelid skin. Results and how long they last vary from person to person, so I would rather show you a modest change you keep than promise a dramatic one.

Hyaluronic acid or a collagen stimulator for the temples?

The two products behave differently, and the choice usually comes down to how soon you need the change and how long you want it to hold. Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid filler approved by the MFDS and the FDA; its viscosity and firmness are what hold a smooth, even shape in a hollow area. Sculptra uses a plant-derived material that prompts your own collagen production, so volume builds gradually.

What moves the final number is the amount, not a foreigner surcharge. Hyaluronic acid is priced per 1cc and Sculptra per vial, so a deep hollow on both sides costs more than a shallow one. Every option on the full treatments page is the same line a Korean patient reads.

What the temple filler appointment looks like

A structured consultation with an interpreter comes first, then the plan is made and the injection performed one to one by the head doctor. The sequence on our filler list is short: consultation, anaesthetic cream or cooling, design, injection. You see the product and the measured dose before anything goes in — genuine product at the correct dosage is the clinic's first motto.

  1. 01Consultation: I look at you from the side and from above, feel both temples, and mark where the volume is missing.
  2. 02Numbing cream or cooling over the area.
  3. 03Design: the amount per side is agreed out loud, including any asymmetry between left and right.
  4. 04Injection: the product is opened in front of you and measured.
  5. 05Aftercare: what to avoid that evening, and when to send me a photo if anything looks uneven.

Typical temple filler timeline
WhenWhat you notice
Day 0Swelling and tenderness at the injection points. The area may look slightly fuller than the settled shape.
Days 1–3Swelling settles. A bruise, if there is one, starts to colour and is easy to cover with hair.
Weeks 1–2Hyaluronic acid has settled into its shape. This is the point where a before and after comparison is fair.
Month 1 onwardWith Sculptra, volume continues to build between sessions. With hyaluronic acid, the shape holds and then slowly softens.

Risks, and the part worth hearing before you agree

Filler is an injection, so side effects are possible and you should know them before you say yes. The temple carries vessels and nerves running through it, which is why the injection is planned and placed by the doctor rather than delegated, and why depth matters more here than in a fleshy area like the lips.

  • Swelling and tenderness for a day or two.
  • Bruising at an entry point, which can last several days.
  • A visible edge or unevenness if too much is placed too superficially.
  • Slight asymmetry: most faces start asymmetric, so the two sides often need different amounts.
  • Rare but serious vascular events, which is the reason for anatomy-led placement and a doctor who stops if anything feels wrong.

Why visitors book temple filler at Muse Clinic Myeongdong

Three things we put in writing instead of promising. One price list: the same numbers a Korean patient pays, published in full on the website, with 10% VAT stated separately. Interpreters in the clinic in English, Japanese and Chinese, with other languages arranged on request, staying with you from consultation to aftercare. The head doctor consults and treats: the plan is made and performed one to one by Dr. Sarang Lim.

Practical details for a trip: we are a one-minute walk from Myeongdong Station Exit 5, near Hoehyeon Station Exit 7 across from Shinsegae Department Store, on the 3rd floor of the building with a Twosome Place café and Hana Bank at street level. Open Monday to Friday 10:00–20:00 and Saturday to Sunday 09:00–15:00, so a weekend appointment between shopping days is realistic.

Temples are rarely the only thing people ask about. If the flatness runs across the forehead too, that is a separate line on our forehead and nasolabial filler list. If it is the bridge, read the nose filler page. And if you are also thinking about lip filler shape ideas, our guide to lip filler in Seoul covers shapes, 1cc pricing and swelling.

Questions people ask

Before you message us

How much does temple filler cost in Seoul?

At Muse Clinic Myeongdong the temples are priced on the Juvederm 1cc line that covers all areas except the nose, forehead and under-eye area, from ₩289,000 (excl. 10% VAT) as an event price. The collagen stimulator route, Sculptra, starts from ₩590,000 (excl. 10% VAT) per vial. It is the same list a Korean patient reads, and the treatment pages always show the current numbers.

How much filler do the temples need?

Our hyaluronic acid list is priced per 1cc, and the amount is decided at the consultation after I look at you from the side and from above, not from a front photo. A shallow dip and a deep hollow that shows the bone ridge are different jobs. I would rather place a conservative amount and review it than overfill a temple on a first visit.

Does filler in the temples lift the eyes?

It can make the outer eye and brow area look less drawn, because the tissue at the side of the eye sits on the temple and a hollow leaves it unsupported. It is a change in the frame around the eye, not a brow lift, and it does nothing for loose eyelid skin. Results and how long they last vary from person to person.

How long does temple filler last?

Hyaluronic acid is broken down by your body, and the speed of that differs with your constitution and with the product, which is why two people with the same 1cc get different timelines. Sculptra works through your own collagen instead, so the volume it creates builds slowly and tends to hold longer. We discuss which pattern suits your plans at the consultation.

Will I swell or bruise after temple filler?

Expect some swelling and tenderness on the day, and accept that a bruise at an entry point is possible. Most people go straight back into Myeongdong afterwards with hair covering the area. If you have a wedding or a shoot, leave at least one to two weeks between the injection and the date so any bruising has time to fade.

Can I get temple filler on a short trip to Seoul?

Yes, this is a short appointment and visitors often book it alongside another treatment. The clinic is a one-minute walk from Myeongdong Station Exit 5 and open Monday to Friday 10:00–20:00 and Saturday to Sunday 09:00–15:00. Message us on WhatsApp with your dates and we will tell you which day fits best around your flight home.

Results and maintenance period vary by individual. Every procedure carries the possibility of side effects, which are explained before you agree to treatment. Prices exclude 10% VAT and event prices may change. This article is general information from the clinic and is not a diagnosis; suitability is decided at the consultation.
