Capri Laser in Korea for Acne: Case Review

Lara's skin had been breaking out and Lara wanted to do something about it on a trip to Seoul. I explain what Capri Laser targets, how a session runs, what it costs on our list, and when acne needs more than a laser.

I'm Dr. Sarang Lim, head doctor at Muse Clinic Myeongdong and a member of the Korean Academy of Aesthetic Plastic & Laser Medicine. Lara (@doreen_lara) posted a reel after a Capri Laser session with us, opening with a line many visitors could have written: the skin has been going through it lately, and something needed to change. The question behind it is simple: can one laser session in Seoul actually help breakout-prone skin? For anyone searching capri laser korea with the same problem, the honest answer is that Capri Laser is a strong tool for oily, acne-prone skin, and it usually works better as part of a short plan rather than a single visit. Below is what Lara had, why it suits acne, what it costs on our price list, and when I would add or swap something.

What Lara had: Capri Laser

Capri Laser is an acne laser that targets the sebaceous glands, the oil glands that feed breakouts. It works as a sebaceous gland laser: the energy is aimed at the gland rather than only at the spot you can see, so it treats the source of the oil and not just the surface. On our list it is described as applicable to various types of acne, from teen acne to adult acne treatment, and it is often chosen by people whose acne keeps coming back or who are unhappy with extractions alone.

Lara's caption does not say which Capri option was used or which areas were treated, so I won't guess. What I can say is how we decide: a stamping mode delivers energy straight onto acne-prone spots, while the three-type session covers the face more fully, and either can be done on one area or the full face. The choice depends on whether your acne is a few spots in one zone or spread across the face.

Why Capri for Lara's skin, and what else acne can need

A good korean acne treatment plan is rarely one product. It usually combines cleansing or extractions, a device like Capri that works on oil production, and, when the skin needs it, an acne prescription. I lay out how those pieces fit together in Korean acne treatment: what a Seoul clinic does. Our list also notes that Capri improves the look of pores, which is why people with oily skin and enlarged pores often ask about it; how to get rid of enlarged pores covers that side.

  • Capri Laser: targets the oil glands behind recurring breakouts; suits oily, acne-prone skin.
  • Combined sessions: some options pair Capri with a peel or Tesla therapy and a modelling pack, plus a one-week acne prescription.
  • Red marks after acne: these are a separate issue, covered in post-inflammatory erythema.

What Capri Laser costs in Korea at Muse

Capri Laser is listed from ₩69,000 (excl. VAT) for the first-visit stamping-mode offer with a modelling mask. Single sessions and multi-session courses are listed for one area or the full face, along with combined packages. Where a package includes a one-week acne prescription, the medicine itself is paid separately at the pharmacy. Visitors from abroad pay the same list price as our Korean patients.

When comparing capri laser price between clinics, check whether the quote is for one area or the full face, one session or a course, and whether a peel or prescription is included. I compare acne-related costs further in acne scar treatment cost in Seoul.

The visit, the redness, and the weeks after

  1. 01Consultation with an interpreter, to look at oiliness, active spots and the areas to treat.
  2. 02Cleansing, so the laser works on clean skin.
  3. 03Capri passes over the agreed areas; you will feel warmth and quick pulses.
  4. 04Modelling mask to calm the skin, then you can head back out into Myeongdong.

Lara was surprised by how comfortable the session felt and how little redness followed. That is a common experience, and our treatment information notes that daily life can continue straight after. Some people do have mild redness or warmth for a short time, so plan photos accordingly. Keep the skin clean, use a gentle moisturiser and sunscreen, and avoid squeezing spots. Acne tends to come back without follow-up, so if you have recurring breakouts, a course of sessions or a prescription to continue at home is usually part of the plan. Results and how long they last vary from person to person.

Booking an acne laser session on a Seoul trip

If you are looking for an acne laser treatment seoul visitors can fit into a short stay, we are a one-minute walk from Myeongdong Station Exit 5, open Monday to Friday 10:00–20:00 and Saturday to Sunday 09:00–15:00. English, Japanese and Chinese interpreters are in the clinic, so you can ask every question in your own language before anything starts.

Is this for you?

Who this treatment suits

  • Your skin is oily and keeps breaking out in the same areas
  • You have teen or adult acne that returns after extractions
  • You want an acne treatment you can walk out of and carry on your day
  • You are open to a short course of sessions or a prescription to continue at home

When I would not recommend it: If your main concern is dented acne scars rather than active breakouts, Capri is not the main tool; I would talk you through scar treatments instead. Very inflamed or infected skin may need calming or medication first, and we wait if there is an open wound on the area.

Lara wanted to do something about skin that had been struggling, and that is exactly when a proper plan beats a one-off fix. Send me a photo before you book and I will tell you honestly what one visit can and cannot do.
