Botox in Seoul: What 3 Days After Looks Like

Sofiia posted a reel three days after Botox and was already happy with the change. I explain how quickly toxin starts to show, why the timing depends on the area, how I choose where to inject, and what it costs on our list.

I'm Dr. Sarang Lim, head doctor at Muse Clinic Myeongdong and an advisory doctor for Merz. Sofiia (@0.diam0nd._) posted a reel three days after a Botox session with us, saying the change showed sooner than expected and that a small change made a real difference to how Sofiia felt. That leads to the question visitors ask me most about botox in seoul: how soon will I see it, and will it be done before I fly home? The honest answer is that early softening can show within days, the effect settles over about two weeks, and the exact timing depends on which muscle was treated. Below I explain how that works, how the area is chosen, and what it costs on our price list.

What Sofiia had, and what the reel doesn't say

Sofiia's caption says Botox, three days after, and a simple little change. It does not name the area, so I won't claim one. On our list, Botox splits into two main groups. Anti-Wrinkle Botox relaxes the small muscles that crease the skin: forehead, frown lines between the brows, crow's feet, under the eyes, the nose bridge, nose wings and a bumpy chin. Jaw Botox relaxes the large chewing muscle at the angle of the jaw to slim a square-looking lower face.

Timing is one clue. A visible change at day three is more typical of anti-wrinkle botox, where the muscle only needs to stop pulling for a line to soften. Jaw slimming works differently: the muscle has to shrink, and that takes weeks. But a clue is not a record, so treat this case as a general example of how Botox feels in the first days, not as a guide to one specific area.

How long does Botox take to work?

Toxin works by quietly blocking the signal from a nerve to a muscle, so the muscle contracts less. It does not fill or lift anything. So how long does botox take to work depends on what we are asking the muscle to do:

  • Wrinkle areas: early softening often shows in the first few days, and the result settles by about two weeks.
  • Jaw (masseter): the muscle slims gradually over several weeks, so the face shape changes later; I explain the timeline in masseter jaw Botox in Seoul.
  • How long it lasts: our treatment information gives about three months, and we usually suggest repeat sessions three to four months apart; it varies with muscle strength and habits.

That is why I ask visitors when their flight is. For wrinkles, a session early in a trip usually lets you see the change before you leave. If you are deciding between areas, Botox before and after by area walks through each one.

Prices from our current list. The area and units are agreed at your consultation.

When comparing botox price in korea (or any botox korea quote), check the brand of toxin, the number of units and how many areas are included, not only the headline number. I cover this in the Botox in Korea price guide, and if you are weighing korean botox against an imported brand, Allergan Botox in Seoul explains the difference.

The visit and the first days after

  1. 01One-to-one consultation with an interpreter, watching the face move to choose the area.
  2. 02Cooling on the skin before the injections.
  3. 03Design: marking the points, and checking the genuine product and dosage with you.
  4. 04Injections; the treatment itself usually takes about 10 to 20 minutes.

You will feel small pinches; cooling makes it more comfortable but it is still an injection. Afterwards, a small bump at an injection point for a short time, a little bruise, or a heavy feeling in the treated muscle for a few days are common. Avoid rubbing or massaging the area that day, and skip saunas and hard workouts until the next day. Rarely, toxin spreads to a neighbouring muscle and causes temporary unevenness that settles as the effect wears off. Results and how long they last vary from person to person.

Booking Botox on a Seoul trip

We are a one-minute walk from Myeongdong Station Exit 5, open Monday to Friday 10:00–20:00 and Saturday to Sunday 09:00–15:00. Botox is one of the easiest treatments to fit into a trip: short, done with an interpreter beside you, and you walk straight back out. If your goal is a slimmer jaw rather than smoother lines, plan for jaw botox seoul early so the change has time to show.

Is this for you?

Who this treatment suits

  • You have lines that show when you frown, raise your brows or smile
  • Your jaw looks square because of a strong chewing muscle
  • You want a small, natural change rather than a different face
  • You are in Seoul for a few days and want a short treatment between plans

When I would not recommend it: If a line is deep even when your face is completely still, Botox alone will feel underwhelming; I would talk you through fillers or skin treatments instead. We also wait if you have an infection on the area, and we discuss timing first if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Sofiia's reel shows what a small change can do, and that is the goal I aim for. Send me a short video of your face moving and I will tell you honestly which area, if any, is worth treating.
