A Korean glass skin facial is what people search for when they want the skin they notice on Seoul streets. It is smooth, even and catches light like a clean pane of glass. In a clinic, that look does not come from one facial. It comes from a short plan that works on the surface, the water held inside the skin, and fine texture.
The core of the plan at Muse Clinic Myeongdong is an HA skin booster, the Lilied M Glass Skin Injection, which starts from ₩159,000 (excl. VAT). Around it I add a peel for the surface and, for some faces, Skin vive or Dermatoxin Botox. Below you will find who each part suits, the visit step by step, the price list and an honest timeline.
What a Korean glass skin facial really means in a clinic
Glass skin is an optical effect. Light reflects evenly off skin that is smooth on top and full of water underneath. On dry, rough or congested skin, that light scatters and the face looks dull, even under good makeup.
So a clinic's Korean glass skin treatment is really four jobs, and each job has its own tool. Not everyone needs all four. The table shows how I split them.
| Layer | What dulls it | What we use |
|---|---|---|
| Surface | Dead skin cells, sebum, blackheads | Aqua Peeling (AHA + BHA) |
| Water inside the skin | Dryness, tight feeling, dull tone | Lilied M Glass Skin Injection (hyaluronic acid) |
| Fine lines on the cheeks | Rough texture, crepey lines when you smile | Skin vive (hyaluronic acid for the cheeks) |
| Pores and bounce | Visible pores, loss of elasticity | Dermatoxin Botox (skin toxin) |
A face wash, a rice water rinse and a serum all matter, and I ask every patient to keep them up. They work on the top layer, though. They cannot place hyaluronic acid into the dermis, and that part of the Korean glass skin secret is the step that needs a clinic.
Who a glass skin treatment suits, and who it does not
On our list, the Lilied M Glass Skin Injection is described for people whose skin feels one of the ways below. If two or more sound like you, a glass skin facial is a sensible starting point.
- A dull skin tone that makeup does not fix
- Rough, dry skin or small bumpy breakouts
- Early signs of ageing you want to work on gently
- Skin that feels tight instead of plump and hydrated
- Rough texture on the cheeks before a wedding or special day
If your main concern is active acne, red marks or deep scars, hydration boosters are not my first tool. I would start with texture instead. Our guide to textured skin treatment in Seoul explains that route.
How to get Korean glass skin at Muse: the visit step by step
An interpreter meets you and stays with you through a structured consultation. After that, the head doctor plans and performs the treatment with you one to one. For the Lilied M Glass Skin Injection, the steps on our list look like this.
- 01One-to-one consultation: we look at your skin together and agree on the plan and the price.
- 02Cleansing to remove makeup, sunscreen and oil.
- 03Numbing cream, left on while it takes effect.
- 04Treatment: you see the genuine product and the dose before any injection.
- 05Finishing care to calm the skin before you leave.
If the plan includes Aqua Peeling, it comes first. It takes about 40 minutes in three stages. It uses water-soluble AHA and oil-soluble BHA to lift sebum and dead cells, and it can be used on all skin types. It finishes with a modeling mask and sunblock.
When pores and loss of bounce are part of the problem, I may add Dermatoxin Botox. It is a skin toxin placed in the upper skin layer, and the injection part takes 10–20 minutes. Our post on skin Botox and Dermatoxin covers it in detail.

Korean glass skin facial price: the options on our list
Three things change the total. The first is the product, for example the glass skin injection or the glow toxin version, and a Korean toxin or Coretox for Dermatoxin. The second is the volume in cc. The third is whether an event price is running. Every number below is the same one a Korean patient sees, and prices exclude 10% VAT.

For a first trip, I often suggest a peel plus one Lilied M session. That shows you how your skin responds before you commit to a course. Skin vive is placed on the cheeks, so I only add it when fine lines there are part of what you see in the mirror.
How long a glass skin facial takes to show, and how long it lasts
Hydration shows early, and the rest builds up over weeks. The table below is the sequence I describe at consultations. Results and how long they last vary from person to person.
| When | What you notice |
|---|---|
| Day 0 | Skin feels hydrated right after the booster. Small raised bumps at injection points are common. After a peel, the surface feels clean and smooth. |
| Days 1–3 | Bumps flatten as the hyaluronic acid settles into the skin. Any redness fades. |
| Within about 1 week | If you had Dermatoxin, you may feel the skin become a little firmer. |
| Week 2 | A good time for the next Lilied M session. We recommend three sessions or more, two weeks apart. |
| Months 2–3 | The Lilied M effect generally holds about two to three months. Dermatoxin usually lasts a similar time. |
If your trip is short, you do not need to fit three sessions in. One session gives you the first result. The course can continue on your next visit to Seoul.
Side effects and honest limits of glass skin injections
Skin boosters are routine injections, but every procedure can have side effects, and you should know them before you agree. Most are minor and short-lived. The doctor decides the plan, and it can change if your skin is irritated on the day.
- Small raised bumps at injection points that settle over a few days
- Redness or a small bruise where the needle went in
- Mild tingling or dryness for a day or two after a peel
- A slightly tight feeling after Dermatoxin while the skin adjusts
- Uneven or smaller results than hoped: skin responds differently from person to person
Why visitors book their Korean glass skin facial at Muse
One price list, the same as the Korean price. There is no foreigner menu, and every option is published on the full treatments list. Interpreters in the clinic speak English, Japanese and Chinese and stay with you from consultation to treatment. The head doctor treats you: after the consultation, Dr. Sarang Lim plans and performs the treatment one to one.
The clinic is a one-minute walk from Myeongdong Station Exit 5, on the 3rd floor of the building with a Twosome Place café at street level. We are open Monday to Friday 10:00–20:00 and Saturday to Sunday 09:00–15:00. That makes a weekend glass skin session between shopping stops realistic.

Questions people ask
Before you message us
What is a Korean glass skin facial in a clinic?
In a clinic, a Korean glass skin facial is a short plan, not one mask. It usually combines a peel that clears the surface with a hyaluronic acid skin booster injected into the skin to hold water where creams cannot reach. Depending on your face, the doctor may add a booster for fine lines on the cheeks or a skin toxin for pores. The mix is decided at the consultation, after the doctor has looked at your skin.
How much is a Korean glass skin treatment in Seoul?
At Muse Clinic Myeongdong the Lilied M Glass Skin Injection starts from ₩159,000, Skin vive from ₩220,000, Dermatoxin Botox from ₩69,000 and Aqua Peeling from ₩29,000, all excl. VAT. Foreign visitors pay the same prices as Korean patients. Event prices run for a limited time and can change, so the treatment pages and the full price list always show the current numbers.
How many sessions do I need to get Korean glass skin?
For the Lilied M Glass Skin Injection, our recommendation is three sessions or more, two weeks apart. The skin feels hydrated after the first session, and repeating it builds on that result. If you are only in Seoul for a few days, one session plus a peel is a realistic start, and you continue on your next trip. Results and how long they last vary from person to person.
How long does glass skin from an injection last?
The Lilied M Glass Skin Injection generally holds for about two to three months. Dermatoxin Botox usually lasts about two to three months too. How long it lasts for you depends on your skin, your climate, and how you care for your skin afterwards. That is why a course and then maintenance sessions work better than a single visit.
Can I do a glass skin facial on a short trip to Seoul?
Yes. Aqua Peeling takes about 40 minutes, and Dermatoxin Botox takes 10–20 minutes. The injection boosters fit into a half-day, including the consultation and numbing cream. Small bumps at injection points usually flatten within a few days. We are open weekends 09:00–15:00, one minute from Myeongdong Station Exit 5. Message us your dates on WhatsApp and we will suggest a day.
Can a face wash or rice water give me glass skin?
A gentle face wash, rice water rinses and a good moisturiser help the surface, and I ask patients to keep using them. What they cannot do is place hyaluronic acid inside the dermis, where the skin holds its water. At-home care keeps the surface clean. Clinic treatments work on the hydration underneath. The two work together, so I suggest doing both.
Results and maintenance period vary by individual. Every procedure carries the possibility of side effects, which are explained before you agree to treatment. Prices exclude 10% VAT and event prices may change. This article is general information from the clinic and is not a diagnosis; suitability is decided at the consultation.
