A Korean glow facial is what most visitors call the thing they saw on a screen: skin that looks wet, even and lit from underneath rather than painted on top. In a dermatology clinic there is no single box with that name on it. It is a short stack of steps done in one sitting — empty the pores, put water back into the dermis, soften the surface — and each step sits on our public price list as its own treatment.
At Muse Clinic Myeongdong the pieces are aqua peeling from ₩29,000 (excl. 10% VAT), Dermatoxin skin botox from ₩69,000, the Lilied M Glass Skin Injection from ₩159,000 and Skin vive from ₩220,000. Below is what each one actually changes, how I combine them, and what a Korean glow facial looks like inside a four-day trip.
What is Korean glow facial? What a clinic actually does
The phrase describes a result, not a device. When people search what is Korean glow facial, they are picturing three things at once: pores that do not catch the light, a surface that reflects evenly, and skin that looks full of water instead of coated in highlighter. Those three sit in different layers of the skin, so a clinic works on different layers in one appointment.
- Surface: sebum, dead skin and blackheads lifted out, so light bounces evenly instead of scattering off rough texture.
- Dermis: hyaluronic acid placed inside the skin so it holds water and looks plump rather than tight.
- Pores and fine lines: a diluted toxin spread through the skin to soften texture and the pull of fine lines.
- Hydration upkeep: the part that decides whether the glow lasts a week or a couple of months.
The same search gets typed in a dozen word orders — facial korean glow, korean facial glow, glass skin, dewy skin. They all point at the same request. If you want the version written as a step-by-step plan rather than a treatment page, read how to get Korean glass skin in a clinic; if you want the single-session version, the Korean glass facial explainer covers it.
Is Korean glow facial good for your skin, or the wrong tool?
Is Korean glow facial good for everyone? It is good for dryness, dullness and rough texture, which is most of what people mean when they say their skin looks flat. It is not a pigment treatment and it is not a lifting treatment. If your dullness is actually brown — melasma, sun freckles, old acne marks — hydration will not move it, and I will say so at the consultation.
- Good fit: dull tone, dry or rough skin, small bumpy breakouts, skin that feels tight by midday.
- Good fit: early ageing signs where fine lines show more when the skin is dehydrated.
- Good fit: a wedding, shoot or event where you want texture settled a week or two beforehand.
- Wrong tool: brown pigment and uneven tone — that is laser and peel territory.
- Wrong tool: sagging along the jaw or neck — that needs tightening, not water.
If your concern is tone rather than texture, our note on skin brightening treatment in Seoul is the more useful read. Plenty of people end up doing one of each, a few weeks apart.
The four treatments I build a Korean glow facial from
Aqua peeling — the surface, first
This is the part that looks like a facial. Water and solution with AHA and BHA lift sebum, dead skin and blackheads out of the pores, then a modelling pack and an LED regeneration laser finish it. The full three-step version takes around 40 minutes. I start almost every glow plan here, because injecting into congested skin is working against yourself. It can be repeated twice a week without straining the skin, so it is also the easiest thing to fit into a short trip.
Lilied M Glass Skin Injection — water in the dermis
A premium hyaluronic acid skin booster delivered across the face so the skin holds water where it matters, inside the dermis rather than on top of it. Our list describes it for dull tone, rough or dry skin, small bumpy breakouts and skin that feels tight. Skin feels hydrated immediately, and it generally holds for about two to three months depending on your skin and your home care. The recommended course is three sessions or more, two weeks apart. There is a 5.5CC Glow Toxin version that pairs the hyaluronic acid with a toxin element for fine lines and firmness.
Skin vive — for cheeks that read as rough
An FDA-approved hyaluronic acid preparation injected into the skin of the cheeks to work on fine wrinkles, texture and dryness. The product is opened in front of you and measured in front of you. It is the option I lean toward when someone's main complaint is the cheek surface in close-up photos, or when they want something that holds longer between trips. A cannula can be used for an additional ₩30,000 (forehead not included).
Dermatoxin skin botox — pores and the finish
A diluted toxin spread through the skin rather than into one chewing muscle. It softens large pores, fine lines and overall texture, and the face feels firmer to the touch. The injection part takes 10–20 minutes. You may notice a mild tight feeling in the first week; the effect typically holds around two to three months. If you want the detail on dosing and products, we wrote it up in skin botox in Seoul: Dermatoxin price and results.

Nothing is quoted differently because of your passport.
The visit, and how a Korean glow facial fits a short trip
A structured consultation with an interpreter comes first, then the head doctor plans and performs the injection part one to one. If you take peeling plus a booster, budget around an hour and a half in the building. Results and how long they last vary from person to person.
- 01Consultation with an interpreter: what bothers you, what you have had done before, what your trip looks like.
- 02Cleansing, then aqua peeling in three steps with a modelling pack and LED finish.
- 03Numbing cream while the pack sets, if you are having an injection.
- 04The injection, with the product opened and measured in front of you — genuine product, correct dosage is our first motto.
- 05Finishing care and sunscreen, then back out to Myeongdong.
| When | What you notice |
|---|---|
| Day 0 | Skin looks clean and may be slightly pink. Small raised bumps across the cheeks if you had an injection. Sunscreen on, makeup off for the rest of the day. |
| Days 1–3 | Bumps settle. Skin feels hydrated rather than tight, and base makeup sits differently. |
| Week 1 | Skin botox begins to show — pores look tighter, the surface feels smoother. A mild tight sensation is normal. |
| Weeks 2–4 | Window for the next booster session if you are doing a course. This is where the finish starts to read as skin, not product. |
| Months 2–3 | Hydration from the booster and the skin botox effect generally hold around this long, then taper. |
For a trip, the practical order is: peeling early in the trip, injections at least two or three days before any event or long flight. If you only have one slot, I would rather do one thing properly than four things thinly.
Side effects and the parts worth saying out loud
None of this is risk-free, and you should hear the list before you agree to it. Most of what happens is small, visible on the day, and gone by the time you are back at your hotel the next morning.
- Raised injection bumps across the cheeks and forehead on day 0 — expected, not a complication.
- A pinpoint bruise where a needle crossed a small vessel; a few days, cover-able.
- Redness or a warm feeling after peeling, more if your skin is reactive.
- A tight or slightly stiff feeling in the first week after skin botox.
- Flare-up risk if you treat over actively inflamed acne — which is why the order matters.
Why visitors book a Korean glow facial at Muse Clinic Myeongdong
One price list. Every treatment, every option, every number is published on the treatments page, prices excluding 10% VAT, and it is the same list a Korean patient reads. Interpreters in the clinic in English, Japanese and Chinese, with other languages arranged on request, staying with you from consultation through treatment. The head doctor consults and treats: after the structured consultation, the plan is made and performed one to one by Dr. Sarang Lim.
Logistics, because they decide whether you actually come: the clinic is on the 3rd floor of Korea Daeyungak Tower at 97 Toegye-ro, a one-minute walk from Myeongdong Station Exit 5, also close to Hoehyeon Station Exit 7 across from Shinsegae. There is a Twosome Place café and Hana Bank on the ground floor, and a parking tower in the same building at ₩1,000 per 10 minutes with no base fee. We open Monday to Friday 10:00–20:00 and Saturday to Sunday 09:00–15:00, so a weekend slot between shopping is realistic.

Questions people ask
Before you message us
How much does a Korean glow facial cost in Seoul?
It depends on which pieces you take. On our list aqua peeling starts from ₩29,000, Dermatoxin skin botox from ₩69,000, the Lilied M Glass Skin Injection from ₩159,000 and Skin vive from ₩220,000, all excluding 10% VAT. A single-session combination usually lands somewhere between the peeling alone and a booster plus peeling. The treatments page always shows the current numbers because event prices run for limited periods.
Is Korean glow facial good for sensitive or acne-prone skin?
Often yes, but the order changes. If you have active inflamed spots, I usually start with the surface work and hold the injections until the skin is calmer. Aqua peeling uses AHA and BHA, so it can be used across skin types, and dull, rough skin with small bumpy breakouts is one of the groups the Lilied M injection is listed for. The decision is made at the consultation, not from a photo.
What is a Korean glow facial actually made of?
Three layers of work. Cleaning the pores so light reflects evenly, placing hyaluronic acid in the skin so it holds water, and a diluted toxin in the skin to soften pores and fine lines. No single machine does all three, which is why a clinic stacks them in one sitting. Results and how long they last vary from person to person.
How many sessions do I need before the glow shows?
Hydration from the Lilied M injection is felt the same day, and our guidance for that treatment is three sessions or more, two weeks apart, for a fuller effect. Aqua peeling can be repeated twice a week without straining the skin. Visitors on a one-week trip usually take one combined session, then repeat on the next trip or ask us what to keep up at home.
Can I book a Korean glow facial on the day I land?
Many people do, because the clinic is a one-minute walk from Myeongdong Station Exit 5 and we are open Monday to Friday 10:00–20:00 and Saturday to Sunday 09:00–15:00. Message us your dates on WhatsApp first so an interpreter is scheduled. If you have an event in Seoul, I would rather treat you a few days before it than the night before.
Will a foreigner pay more than a Korean patient?
No. There is one price list and it is published in full on our website, every treatment and every option, with prices excluding 10% VAT. You read the same line a Korean patient reads. Interpreters in English, Japanese and Chinese are in the clinic, and other languages can be arranged if you ask in advance.
Results and maintenance period vary by individual. Every procedure carries the possibility of side effects, which are explained before you agree to treatment. Prices exclude 10% VAT and event prices may change. This article is general information from the clinic and is not a diagnosis; suitability is decided at the consultation.
