If you are flying to Seoul for your skin, korean laser skin treatment probably means one picture in your head: flat, even, slightly glassy skin by the time you land back home. In the clinic it means something narrower. A device sends light or heat into one specific layer of the skin to break up pigment, soften a scar, or tighten what has started to sag. At Muse Clinic Myeongdong the usual entry point for visitors is Pico Laser Toning, from ₩39,000 (excl. 10% VAT).
Three questions come up in almost every consultation I run with a visitor: which machine, how many sessions, and whether a korea laser skin treatment price moves when the patient is not Korean. This guide answers all three using the numbers from our own published list, and it also tells you when a laser is the wrong tool for the thing bothering you.
What counts as a korean laser skin treatment, and what does not
At the reception desk, almost everyone says laser. In practice the four things visitors book sit in three different families, and the difference decides what your result looks like. It is worth knowing before you choose.
- True laser: Pico Laser Toning. Light pulses that target melanin — pigment, dull tone, freckles, old marks, tattoo ink.
- Radiofrequency with microneedles: Potenza. Energy released in the dermis for pores, rough texture and acne scars.
- Focused ultrasound: Shurink Universe. Heat deeper down for sagging. Not a laser, but booked as one by most visitors.
- Injection: Skin vive. Hyaluronic acid placed in the skin for dryness and fine cheek lines, with no light involved.
- What a laser will not do: add volume, move bone, or replace a lifting treatment.
So when you ask for skin laser treatment in Korea, expect a consultation that covers all four rather than a yes to the single word. If you want the longer version of that comparison, I wrote it up separately in our guide to skin laser treatment in Korea.
The four options visitors actually book, and when I choose each
Pico Laser Toning — pigment, tone and marks
This is the one that produces the clearer, more even look people associate with Korean skin. Each pulse lasts a fraction of a second, which lets it break melanin apart while limiting heat to the skin around it. Our list runs from a simple toning session with a modelling pack, through a bespoke session that combines three handpiece modes, up to 5 and 10 session courses. There are also separate lines for eyebrow tattoo removal and tattoo removal by size.
I choose it when the complaint is colour: melasma patches, freckles, sun marks, or skin that photographs grey. For a deeper dive into session counts, read Pico laser in Korea: price per session and results.
Potenza — pores, texture and acne scars
Potenza drives microneedles into the dermis and releases radiofrequency there for an instant, so the surface is largely spared while the layer underneath is stimulated to rebuild. On our list it starts from ₩159,000 (excl. VAT) in combination with a booster, and settings are matched to your skin rather than fixed. Numbing cream goes on first, so allow about an hour from preparation to aftercare.
Shurink Universe — sagging along the jaw and cheek
If what bothers you in photos is the line of your jaw rather than the colour of your skin, light will not fix it. Shurink Universe uses focused ultrasound to create thermal coagulation points deeper down, and the skin tightens as collagen rebuilds over the following weeks. It starts from ₩41,000 (excl. VAT) for 100 shots. Our post on Korean HIFU and Shurink Universe lifting prices covers shot counts in detail.
Skin vive — dryness and fine cheek lines
Skin vive is an FDA-approved hyaluronic acid formulation injected into the skin of the cheeks to improve fine wrinkles and texture, from ₩220,000 (excl. VAT) for 1cc. It is not a laser, but it is the most common thing visitors add to one when the skin is both marked and dehydrated. The vial is opened in front of you — genuine product at the correct dose is the clinic's first motto.
| Option | What it targets | How it feels | When you notice it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pico Laser Toning | Pigment, melasma, freckles, dull tone, ink | Warm taps, like a light snap | Tone evens gradually over a course of sessions |
| Potenza | Wide pores, rough texture, acne scars | Microneedling after numbing cream | Often something after one session, builds with repeats |
| Shurink Universe | Sagging jaw and cheek line | Deep warmth in short pulses | Firmer over the following 2–3 months |
| Skin vive | Dryness, fine cheek lines, rough texture | Small injections across the cheeks | Hydration and smoothness over the following weeks |

A lot of people search for the 'best korean laser skin treatment price' and compare single numbers. That comparison breaks down quickly, because the same word covers a short toning session and a ten-session course. Four things actually move your laser skin treatment korea cost.
- 01Single session versus a course: our Pico list prices 1, 5 and 10 sessions differently per session.
- 02How much is bundled: packages add a modelling pack, LED care, or extra toning modes in one sitting.
- 03Area size: tattoo removal is priced by size, from business-card to A4, and colour ink costs more than black.
- 04Add-ons you approve: a booster or an injection alongside the device, quoted before anything is opened.
- 05VAT: 10% on top of every listed number.
The full korean laser skin treatment price list, including every option we did not discuss here, is published on the treatments page. Nothing is held back for a quote in person.
What a laser skin treatment Seoul visit looks like on a short trip
Most visitors are working with two or three free hours between other plans. The sequence below is what we actually do, and it is the same for a first-time visitor as for a returning patient.
- 01You message on WhatsApp with photos and dates; we hold a slot.
- 02You arrive at the 3rd floor and an interpreter meets you — English, Japanese and Chinese are in the clinic, other languages on request.
- 03A structured consultation comes first, in your language, covering what you want and what your skin can take that week.
- 04The plan is then made and performed one to one by the head doctor, Dr. Sarang Lim.
- 05Aftercare: cooling or a mask depending on the option, sunscreen, and written instructions you can read on the subway.
| When | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Day 0 | Mild warmth and pinkness for a few hours. Sunscreen before you go back outside. |
| Days 1–3 | Pinkness settles. With stronger settings, tiny dark flecks of pigment may surface and flake off. |
| Week 1–2 | Tone looks more even. Makeup sits better. This is when most people take their comparison photo. |
| Month 1+ | Pigment work keeps improving across repeat sessions; sun exposure in between is what undoes it. |
Side effects and the part worth hearing before you book
Every energy device carries the possibility of side effects, and you should hear them before you agree rather than after. Results and how long they last vary from person to person, and so does recovery.
- Redness and warmth for a few hours after a toning session; longer after microneedling.
- Temporary dark flecks or micro-crusting where pigment was targeted, which flake off on their own.
- Pigment rebound if you sun-expose treated skin. This is the most common reason a course disappoints.
- Swelling or pinpoint bruising after an injection-based add-on.
- A course that needs more sessions than you hoped. Deep or long-standing pigment is slow by nature.
Who decides? You do, after the consultation. If I think a laser will not shift your concern — bony contour, loose skin, active inflammation — I will say so and suggest the tool that does, or suggest waiting. If you are still shortlisting clinics, our guide on choosing a skin clinic in Seoul as a foreigner sets out the questions worth asking anywhere.
Why visitors book laser skin treatment in Korea with us
Four facts, in writing rather than as promises. One price list: the same transparent pricing Korean locals get, with no foreigner markup, published in full on the website. Interpreters on site in English, Japanese and Chinese who stay with you from consultation through treatment. The head doctor consults and treats, one to one; my profile, including certification as a Cynosure laser centre, is on the doctor page. Genuine products at the correct dose, checked in front of you.
Practical details for a trip: we are a 1-minute walk from Myeongdong Station Exit 5 on Line 4, also close to Hoehyeon Station Exit 7 and across from Shinsegae Department Store, on the 3rd floor of the Korea Daeyungak Tower with a Twosome Place café and Hana Bank at street level. Hours are Monday to Friday 10:00–20:00 and Saturday to Sunday 09:00–15:00, so a weekend session between shopping is realistic. Parking in the same building is ₩1,000 per 10 minutes with no base fee.

If your plan is broader than one device — tone, pores and firmness in the same week — read what visitors book for skin care in Korea next, then message me with the combination you are considering.

Questions people ask
Before you message us
How much does Korean laser skin treatment cost in Seoul?
On our list, Pico Laser Toning starts from ₩39,000 and Shurink Universe from ₩41,000 for 100 shots. Potenza combinations start from ₩159,000 and Skin vive from ₩220,000 for 1cc. All of those exclude 10% VAT, and event prices run for a limited period, so the treatment pages always carry the current numbers rather than a blog post.
Is laser skin treatment in Korea more expensive for foreigners?
Not with us. You are quoted from the same published list a Korean patient reads, there is no separate foreigner menu, and the whole list sits on the website with every option and every number. The only additions are 10% VAT and anything you choose to add during the consultation, which you approve before it happens.
How many sessions of Korean skin laser treatment do I need?
Pigment and tone work usually behaves like a course rather than a single visit, which is why our Pico list includes 1, 5 and 10 session options. Pore and scar work with Potenza often shows something after one session, then builds with repeats. The honest answer comes after the doctor looks at your skin under clinic lighting. Results and how long they last vary from person to person.
Can I fit a laser skin treatment into a short Seoul trip?
Yes, and most of our visitors do. Toning sessions are short and you can walk back into Myeongdong afterwards with sunscreen on. The two things to plan around are sun exposure and makeup on the day, plus a spare day before a flight if you choose a stronger setting. Message your dates and we will suggest a slot.
Does a Korean laser skin treatment hurt?
Toning feels like warm taps or a light rubber-band snap and is usually done without numbing. Potenza uses microneedles, so numbing cream is applied first and the preparation-to-aftercare window runs about an hour. Shurink Universe is ultrasound and uses anaesthetic cream as part of the steps. Tell us your pain tolerance at the consultation and the settings are adjusted.
Which option should I choose for pigmentation versus pores?
Pigment, dull tone, freckles and old marks go to Pico Laser Toning. Wide pores, rough texture and acne scars go to Potenza. Sagging along the jaw or cheek goes to Shurink Universe, which is ultrasound rather than light. Dryness and fine cheek lines go to Skin vive. Many visitors book one device plus one booster in the same visit.
Results and maintenance period vary by individual. Every procedure carries the possibility of side effects, which are explained before you agree to treatment. Prices exclude 10% VAT and event prices may change. This article is general information from the clinic and is not a diagnosis; suitability is decided at the consultation.
